Johannes Kneer, focus Private Equity, is Investment Director at YIELCO and also acts as Lead of the ESG Working Group.
He joined YIELCO in 2014 and has since been involved in the selection, review and imple­men­tation of over 50 fund invest­ments with a cumu­lative commitment volume of almost EUR 2bn. He accom­panied the intro­duction of YIELCO’s private equity strategy from the conception phase to the devel­opment of the port­folio. Before joining YIELCO, he worked for an engi­neering firm from 2012 to 2014 in the project planning, design and financing of renewable energy plants.
Johannes Kneer holds a degree in geog­raphy from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Univer­sität Bonn with a focus on economic and financial geog­raphy as well as resource and envi­ron­mental economics. In his diploma thesis, he dealt with the role of insti­tu­tional investors in the energy tran­sition.
